Adding a Client to a New Case

A client can be added to the case after a new case is successfully added to the database.

Each case must have one primary person for benefit access.

To add a client to a new case:

1.      Click the Add Client link displayed on the Case / Client List page. The Add Client page displays.

The Account # and Case # field automatically populate and display in the Add Client page.

2.      (Required) Enter the first name of the client in the First Name field.

3.      Enter the middle name of the client in the Middle Name field.

 

Complete any of the other following fields your State maintains:

4.      (Required) Enter the last name of the client in the Last Name field.

5.      Enter the first line of the client's mailing address in the Address 1 field.

6.      Enter the second line of the client's mailing address in the Address 2 field.

7.      Enter the third line of the client's mailing address in the Address 3 field.

8.      Enter the name of the city where the client resides in the City field.

9.      Select the short name of the state in which the client resides from the drop-down list next to the State field.

10.  Enter the postal code that identifies the state where the client resides in the ZIP Code field.

11.  Enter the name of a person, other than the client, who is the resident at the address on record for the client in the In Care Of field.

12.  Enter the optional ID for verifying a client's identity in the Optional ID field.

13.  Enter the type of ID in the ID Type field.

14.  (Required) Enter the client's date of birth in the Date of Birth field.

15.  Enter the client's social security number in the SSN field.

Do not include dashes while entering the client's social security number.

16.  Enter the client's home phone number in the Home Phone Number field.

17.  Enter the client's password for accessing the webADMIN application in the Password field.

18.  Select the client status from the drop-down list next to the Client Status field. By default, the Active value displays for most states.

19.  (Required) Select the appropriate benefit access (Cash, FS and CC) from the Cash, FS and CC drop-down lists below the Benefit Access field.

Cash and FS (food stamps) display for all states, but CC (child care) only displays if your State provides this benefit.

20.  Click the Add Client button. A confirmation message displays in the page stating that the client is successfully added.

 

Click the Cancel button to exit this page without adding a new client.
