To reset a PIN:
In the PIN Information section of the Case Information - Card Tab page:
1. These fields automatically populate in the PIN Information section:
a. PIN Selected changes to No until the client selects a PIN.
b. # Times Changed increases by 1 to track the number of times a client’s PIN was changed.
c. Last Changed with the last date the client’s PIN was changed.
d. Failed Attempts with the number of times a client failed to enter their correct PIN.
2. Select a method to reset the PIN from the drop-down list next to the Method field.
· Method values vary depending on your State’s business rules. · A PIN can only be reset if the client’s card status is Active and the PIN carries over for your State. (If the PIN does not carry over, see Issue a New Card to a Client via Mail or Issue a New Card to a Client Using Vault Cards. · For the state of South Dakota, the Case Information - Card Tab page displays a pop-up asking to verify the password for the Account #. Click the OK button in the pop-up to verify the password or click the Cancel button to close the pop-up. |
3. Click the Reset PIN button. A confirmation message displays in the page stating that the PIN reset is successfully initiated and that the client can now select a PIN.
